The Workshop is $60.00 for Members and $70.00 for non Members. We already have 8 artists signed up. There is room for a max of 12.

“My forms are influenced by Japanese folk-tradition pottery and fired mostly in Japanese-style anagama kilns. Surface treatments are designed to cause minor disruptions to the flow of the flame around each pot and thus influence the deposition of ash and the patterning on the surface of the pots. Although my focus is on anagama-fired pottery, the forms and techniques that I will demonstrate can be applied to any firing process.” ~ Ted Ernst

2016 Spring Workshop

Stephen Mickey, retired ceramics professor at Mt. Hood Community College, presents a workshop entitled “Hands of the Maker.” The goal of the workshop is for fellow potters to realize what their work means to them.

We had a glorious workshop with Stephen Mickey on Feb. 19-21, 2016. Thanks Stephen for teaching us your throwing techniques – you are a master potter and a master teacher!
